Brand Story｜The Birth of DXC
DXC was born from the Phaetus Developer Program, an open platform for top engineers and creators worldwide. Here, products are not driven by a single brand, but shaped by real needs, engineering expertise, and the ecosystem of the platform.

DXC was spearheaded by d3vildesign – Omranello, a member of the Developer Program. As a creator deeply engaged in high-speed, high-flow 3D printing, his demands for extruder response, stability, and structural reliability far exceeded conventional mass-production standards.

With close collaboration from the Phaetus engineering team, this concept was transformed into a systematic, engineering-driven solution. Together, they iteratively validated thermal management, material compatibility, structural strength, and long-term durability—turning the “creator’s ideal extruder” into a manufacturable, verifiable, and long-lasting product.

DXC1, based on the K1 platform, launched in April 2025 and quickly became a hit, selling over 30,000 units. Throughout development, the three parties established deep trust and strong collaboration.

DXC2 is a completely redesigned system for the K2 platform, further enhancing extrusion stability and material compatibility.

DXC is more than an extruder—it embodies the spirit of co-creation, validated performance, and the engineering trust built through collaboration among creators, performance-focused manufacturers, and machine makers.

Is DXC2 an upgraded version of DXC1?
No. They are compatible with different printer models. DXC2 is designed for the Creality K2 series, while DXC1 is compatible with the KL/K1 Max/K1C models.
What are the core upgrades of DXC2 compared to the stock extruder?

The DXC2 extruder is directly compatible with the K2 series. For a complete plug-and-play upgrade, the following is required:

1. Mandatory: Install the printed chain riser for mechanical alignment.

2. Recommended: Use our optimized cooling duct and front cover for best performance (original cover incompatible).

3. Configuration: Adjust the retraction settings in the firmware.

All necessary upgrade parts are provided for a one-stop solution.
What materials is DXC2 suitable for printing? Are there any unrecommended materials?
DXC2 is fully compatible with original materials and has been specifically optimized for flexible TPU printing, delivering superior soft printing results. Its RNC gears and DLC nano-coated blades are designed to enhance durability for composite material printing.
Do the blades and gears need frequent replacement?
Both the DLC blades and RNC gears are designed for high durability, offering significantly extended lifespan under normal usage.
